Crafty Market

Hello all,
I will be selling some of my art and trinkets at the Crafty Market on the 11th, 12th, 18th & 19th of December! The Crafty Market is located in the heart of the city centre at Shebeen Chic, Georges Street. Shebeen is a bar and restaurant at the end of Georges Street, near Dame Street. It's opposite The George Nightclub and a couple of doors down from The Georges Street Arcade. There will be coasters, memory boxes, originals art pieces, clocks, magnets, cards and much much more! Hope to see you all there.

Birds all over the place

I recently came across a buttload of fake birds on my shelf in my store-room. I've been collecting them for a while but didn't realise I had so many, I'm also not sure what I'm going to do with them! They look so colourful altogether, they could make a Baubie Sunshine original just as they are! Well even if I use them on my Christmas tree they'll look really cool, but you know you'll see them making a guest appearance in one of my pics in the future!

Puppets

I bought this parrot puppet recently and I really wanted to show him to you. He's from the Puppet Company and they have loads of amazing puppets, some of my faves being the monster range. I just love the soft colourful fluffy madness. They seem to be a bit of a lost art and I want to help bring them back...

Pumpkins

I carved my first ever pumpkin this year and was quite proud of the way he turned out, here he is unlit & lit. You'll probably see this pumkin head appearing in one of my pictures.

Halloweeeeeeeeeen

We had a great Halloween party this year, there were some very creative costumes and lots of spooky creatures. At about 10pm it got really foggy and and creepy outside, just perfect weather for Halloween night! Me and Dave decided to go as docter death and psycho nurse, was very fun indeed!

Happy Birthday John

Slightly belated birthday tribute to John Lennon who would have turned 70 on the 9th of October. Happy birthday John, wherever you are. I can't believe how good Yoko looks, she must be nearly 80! To name but a few of my faves of his solo songs: #9 Dream, Love, Imagine and a little hidden treasure 'I'm In Love'.
Just seen Nowhere Boy the other day, was surprised at how much I enjoyed it, thought it was gonna be like Heartbeat, but thankfully it wasn't... deffo worth watching, quite sad in parts!!

Wist Design

My dad also has his own website and I would love people to go and have a look at it. He creates some very interesting photo-art and web design. It's in German but you can translate it with Google Translate. This one's my fave...

German Buildings

I came across some very interesting buildings during my stay in Germany. I love the straw roofs and little windows, these are all over the place. They'll more than likely be popping up in some of my art.

Hello all, was away yet again in Germany as my wonderful German Oma (grandmother) was 90! She still looks fabulous and tries to cycle her bike! She had a little function room hired and many of her friends and relatives came. There was lots of delicious cakes and good German food...

I got back from France yesterday and it was fabulous! We swam every day in the crystal clear ocean, ate great food and drank lots and lots of wine. Love holidays!! Here's a few pics...

Wooo, I'm off on hols with Dave to the south of France on Monday, yay!! I will be gone for 2 weeks so I won't be blogging as I will be lying on a beach or leaping into the ocean or drinking wine and chilling out! I can't wait. I'm sure I will be back fully inspired and ready for getting the shop up and running with goodies! Laters xx

I really like the look of an old negative, it has a charming, dreamy and spooky look. I was working on this pic recently. I scanned in a negative and then added the girl with the net over it on Photoshop, it gave a really old effect. Hope you like it!

Pink Sky Carousel

I really love carousels, especially when the horses are painted well. They're usually accompanied with popcorn stands, candy floss and that funny carni music. This pic shows one horse which got away and has now been seen flying above the rooftops. ;)

LOVE this!!

Have really admired Oliver Jeffers for many years now, I have all of his beautifully illustrated books. I really like his art and little stories. His book 'Lost & Found' was made into an animated film and it's so sweet and perfectly made. Ohhh, he's just so good! He's Irish too ;)
